3Dprint AM Cu 6327 is a solid MIG/MAG wire for welding and braze welding copper and bronzes. It is used on casting repairs, industrial fittings and cladding of working surfaces.
The wire suits hand work with a semiautomatic torch and mechanised stations, and it also serves in WAAM additive manufacturing. It goes on fittings, heat exchangers, bearing shells, slides and the repair of bronze parts, fed continuously under shielding gas.
- AWS classification: UNS C63270 - Cu6327 - 2.0922
Allow for the high thermal conductivity of copper and preheat thicker sections, otherwise you will not get fusion. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Do not overheat the pool and work fast, tin bronzes lose alloying elements by evaporation.
