Avesta 2507/P100 is a rutile coated electrode of the E 25 9 4 N L R / E2594-17 type, designed for welding superduplex steel and equivalent grades such as 1.4410 / UNS S32750, 1.4507 / UNS S32550 and 1.4501 / UNS S32760. The base grades are 1.4410 (X2CrNiMoN25-7-4), 1.4467 (X2CrMnNiMoN26-5-4) and 1.4468 (GX2CrNiMoN25-6-3). The deposit is over-alloyed in nickel to promote austenite formation and has excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in chlorides. It meets the corrosion test requirements of ASTM G 48 Methods A, B and E at 40 degrees C, and welding runs in all positions.

Superduplex is sensitive to heat, so run narrow beads at a low heat input and let the joint cool between layers to the WPS. Fill the crater on parent metal already welded, not on the groove edge. Direct current, electrode positive. Store the electrodes dry and close an opened pack when the work stops for longer.
