Avesta 308L/MVR is a TIG welding rod for stainless and acid-resistant steels. It works on pressure vessels, pipework and austenitic steel structures where corrosion resistance matters.
Base materials are 1.4301, 1.4307, 304L, 1.4311, 304LN and 1.4541. TIG gives you full control over the heat input and a clean, smooth weld.

Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the bead face. Protect the root when you weld from one side, an oxidised underside spoils the corrosion resistance. Keep the rod inside the gas shield even after you lift it from the pool, a cold oxidised end will contaminate the next drop. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones suit filling.
