BÖHLER A 7 CN-IG is a high alloyed austenitic stainless TIG rod. It is used on process installations, heat exchangers, sanitary structures and parts exposed to corrosion.
The rod suits root runs, thin walls and welds that need a smooth face. Its deposit has an austenitic structure that resists corrosion.

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than you need to, austenite expands strongly and pulls the structure out of shape. Grind the tungsten tip along its axis and hold a short arc, otherwise the pool spreads. Protect the root when you weld from one side, an oxidised underside spoils the corrosion resistance. Match the diameter to the plate thickness and the welding position, thinner rods are easier to control out of position.
