BÖHLER Q E 6013 RC is an electrode with a rutile-cellulosic coating, of the E6013 type, welded in all positions, vertical-down included. The manufacturer directs it to assembly and workshop work, to tacking and to joints with a loose fit-up.
The electrode works on the steels S235JR to S355JR and S235JO to S355JO, on the grades P195TR1 to P265TR1 and P195GH to P265GH, and on the pipe grades L245NB to L360NB and L245MB to L360MB. Gap bridging is its strong point here: with a wider gap the metal holds to the edges instead of falling through. The arc lights at once, after a break in work as well.

Make the tacks short and strong, on opposite sides of the part, so that you do not pull the structure to one side. With a wide gap weave the bead, resting the pool alternately on each edge. Vertical-down, raise the speed and shorten the arc. For welds accepted by a surveyor reach for a basic electrode, this one fits assembly and repairs.
