BÖHLER Q E 6013 RT is a rutile coated electrode of the E6013 type for unalloyed steels. The manufacturer states operation on small transformers with an open circuit voltage of 42 V, so the material suits simple workshop welding sets. Up to the 2.0 mm diameter you also weld vertical-down.
The base steels are S235JRG2 to S355J2, P235GH, P265GH, P295GH, P355N and pipe to API 5L. There is minimal spatter, the slag detaches by itself and the transition from the weld into the parent metal stays smooth, without a notch. The bead has a fine ripple. Striking and returning to the arc after a break go without resistance.

On a small transformer set this electrode lights without trouble, and on an inverter set the current from the table for the diameter. Weld vertical-down with the 2.0 mm diameter only and run the thicker sizes in the other positions. A smooth transition into the parent metal makes painting easier later, so grinding the toes is usually unnecessary. Lay short beads one after another, without cooling in between, and the cap comes out even.
