BÖHLER Q T 307 is a high alloyed austenitic stainless TIG rod for special applications. It is used on process installations, heat exchangers, sanitary structures and parts exposed to corrosion.
The rod suits root runs, thin walls and welds that need a smooth face. Its deposit has an austenitic structure that resists corrosion, and typical work covers tanks, process installations and equipment in contact with water and steam.

Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the bead face. Protect the root when you weld from one side, an oxidised underside spoils the corrosion resistance. Keep the rod inside the gas shield even after you lift it from the pool, a cold oxidised end will contaminate the next drop.
