BÖHLER Q T 308L-Si is a high alloyed austenitic stainless TIG rod. Typical work covers tanks, process installations, food and chemical industry equipment and structures in contact with water and steam.
Base materials include 1.4301, X5CrNi18-10, 1.4306, X2CrNi19-11, 1.4307, X2CrNi18-9 and 1.4311. The rod also suits cladding runs on steel, and its deposit has an austenitic structure that resists corrosion.

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than you need to, austenite expands strongly and pulls the structure out of shape. Grind the tungsten tip along its axis and hold a short arc, otherwise the pool spreads.
