What BÖHLER TI 60-FD flux-cored wire is used for

BÖHLER TI 60-FD is a rutile flux-cored wire for mild and low-alloy steels, fine-grained grades included. It is used on steel structures, tanks, machine frames and workshop work on black steel.

It joins grades such as S355N, S460N, S355NL, S460NL, S355M, S460M and S355ML together with their equivalents. You can weld in all positions, including vertical up and overhead, and the wire goes on offshore structures where the joint works in a marine environment.

  • Classification EN ISO: T 50 6 1Ni P M 1 H5
  • AWS classification: E81T1-M21A8-Ni1-H4
  • Diameters: 1.2 mm

Clean rust, paint and grease out of the groove, contaminated plate gives porosity even with well set parameters. Remove the slag before every following bead, slag left between layers is the most common source of inclusions. Store the wire dry and do not leave an open spool in the feeder overnight, the core takes up moisture.
