diamondspark GUARD 420 MC is a seamless metal-cored wire for mild and low-alloy steels, including fine grained grades. It is used in steel construction, on tanks, pipework and series production.
The wire joins grades such as S235JR, S355JR, S235JO, S355JO, S235J2, S355J2 and S275N, along with related materials. Its seamless construction limits moisture pick-up in the core, and it runs well on robot and mechanised stations.

On heavier sections and in a cold workshop plan the preheating, so that the risk of cold cracking stays down. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts.
