What diamondspark 42 RC flux-cored wire is used for

diamondspark 42 RC is a seamless rutile flux-cored wire for mild steel, meant for the flat and horizontal positions and run under M21 or 100 % CO2 shielding gas.

It joins grades such as S235JR, S355JR, S235JO, S355JO, S450JO, S235J2 and S355J2 together with their equivalents. The seamless make limits moisture pickup by the core and keeps the hydrogen level in the weld low, and the wire is used in shipbuilding and vessel repair.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17632-A T 46 2 R M21 3 H5 T 42 0 R C1 3 H5
  • AWS classification: A5.20 / SFA-5.20 E70T-1M/T-9M H4 E70T-1C-T-9C H4
  • Shielding gas: M21, C1
  • Diameters: 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 / 2.0 / 2.4 mm
  • Approvals: ABS, CWB, CE

Clean rust, paint and grease out of the groove, contaminated plate gives porosity even with well set parameters. Store the wire dry and do not leave an open spool in the feeder overnight, the core takes up moisture.
