Application

What diamondspark 44 RC-SR (C1) flux-cored wire is used for

diamondspark 44 RC-SR (C1) is a seamless rutile flux-cored wire for mild steel, suitable for all welding positions, run under 100 % CO2 and qualified in the stress relieved condition.

It joins grades such as S235JR, S355JR, S235JO, S355JO, S450JO, S235J2 and S355J2 together with their equivalents. The seamless sheath keeps moisture away from the core even after longer storage, and all positions are open to it, including vertical up and overhead.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17632-A T 42 5 P C1 1 H5
  • AWS classification: A5.20 / SFA-5.20 E71T-12C JH4
  • Shielding gas: C1
  • Diameters: 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 mm
  • Approvals: ABS, CWB, DNV, BV, LR, CE

On thicker parts and in a cold workshop plan preheating to cut the risk of cold cracking. Hold the torch tilted slightly backwards so the slag flows behind the pool, not ahead of it.
