diamondspark 700 BC is a seamless high-strength flux-cored wire of the basic type, alloyed with nickel, chromium and molybdenum, with a yield strength above 690 MPa.
It is used on grades such as S620Q, S620QL, S690Q, S690QL, S620QL1, S690QL1 and ASTM A 514. The seamless make limits moisture pickup by the core and keeps the hydrogen level in the weld low, and the wire works on mobile structures, machine frames, cranes and parts built for a lower own weight.
- Classification EN ISO: 18276-A T 69 6 1Mn2NiCrMo B M21 3 H5
- AWS classification: A5.29 / SFA-5.29 E110T5-K4M-JH4
- Shielding gas: M21
- Diameters: 1.2 / 1.6 mm
- Approvals: TÜV (07416), ABS, DNV, LR, CE
Do not exceed the permitted interpass temperature, an overheated heat affected zone loses its toughness. Hold a short arc, a long one breaks the shielding and raises the hydrogen content in the weld. Take care of degassing and a clean groove, basic slag will not forgive oily edges. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones the fill passes.
