What diamondspark NiCu1 MC metal-cored wire is used for

diamondspark NiCu1 MC is a seamless, weather resistant metal-cored wire alloyed with copper and nickel. It works on welded structures, halls, frames, machine parts and repairs to structural steel.

The wire suits grades such as S235JRW and ASTM A 588. Its seamless sheath protects the core against moisture even after long storage.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17632-A T 46 6 Z M M21 1 H5
  • AWS classification: A5.28 / SFA-5.28 E80C-G H4
  • Shielding gas: M21
  • Diameters: 1.2 / 1.6 mm

Match the voltage to the wire feed speed, too low a setting gives a convex bead and no fusion into the edges. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts. Match the diameter to the material thickness and the welding position, thinner wires are easier to control out of position.
