diamondspark 900 BC is a seamless high-strength flux-cored wire of the basic type, alloyed with nickel, chromium and molybdenum, with a yield strength above 890 MPa.
Typical parent materials are S690Q, S890Q, S690QL, S890QL, S960Q, S960QL and ASTM A 709. The seamless make limits moisture pickup by the core and keeps the hydrogen level in the weld low, and the wire works on mobile structures, machine frames, cranes and parts built for a lower own weight.
- Classification EN ISO: 18276-A T89 4 Mn2Ni1CrMo B M21 3 H5
- AWS classification: A5.29 / SFA-5.29 E120T5-GM-H4
- Shielding gas: M21
- Diameters: 1.2 / 1.6 mm
- Approvals: CE
Do not exceed the permitted interpass temperature, an overheated heat affected zone loses its toughness. Keep the wire in a dry store and use an opened pack promptly, a basic core is sensitive to moisture. Hold a short arc, a long one breaks the shielding and raises the hydrogen content in the weld. Match the diameter to the thickness and the position, thinner wires are easier to control in constrained positions.
