diamondspark 960 MC is a seamless, high strength metal-cored wire alloyed with nickel, chromium and molybdenum, with a yield strength above 960 MPa. It is used in machine building, crane structures and commercial vehicles.
The wire leaves only silicate islands instead of a full slag layer, which shortens the cleaning time between passes. Its seamless sheath protects the core against moisture even after long storage, and it goes onto working machines, booms and cranes where a high yield strength matters.
- Classification EN ISO: 18276-A T 89 4 ZMn2NiCrMo M M21 1 H5
- Shielding gas: M21
- Diameters: 1.2 mm
- Approvals: TÜV, DB, CE
Keep the hydrogen level low: dry consumables, a clean groove and preheating on heavier sections. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts. Check the feed roll pressure, a metal-cored wire is easier to crush than a solid one. The gas choice shapes the bead face and the amount of spatter, so stay with the mixture given in the classification.
