Application

What diamondspark Ni1,5 RC (C1) flux-cored wire is used for

diamondspark Ni1,5 RC (C1) is a seamless high-strength flux-cored wire alloyed with about 1.5 % nickel, rated down to -60 °C and run under 100 % CO2.

Among the parent materials it covers S355JR, S355J0, S355J2, S450J0, S355N, S460N and S355NL. The seamless make limits moisture pickup by the core and keeps the hydrogen level in the weld low, and you can weld in all positions, including vertical up and overhead.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17632-A T 50 6 1.5Ni P C1 1 H5
  • AWS classification: A5.29 / SFA-5.29 E81T1-K2C-JH4
  • Shielding gas: C1
  • Diameters: 1.2 mm
  • Approvals: ABS, BV, LR, DNV, RS

On thicker parts and in a cold workshop plan preheating to cut the risk of cold cracking. Remove the slag before every following bead, slag left between layers is the most common source of inclusions.
