Thermanit 20/25 Cu is a high alloyed austenitic stainless TIG rod. It goes into tanks, process pipelines and equipment for the chemical and food industries.
The rod joins grades such as 1.4465, 1.4505, 1.4506, 1.4537, 1.4538, 1.4539 and 1.4586, along with related materials. It also suits cladding runs on steel, and its deposit has an austenitic structure that resists corrosion.

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than you need to, austenite expands strongly and pulls the structure out of shape. Keep the rod inside the gas shield even after you lift it from the pool, a cold oxidised end will contaminate the next drop. Set the gas post-flow long enough for the pool and the electrode to cool under the shield.
