What Thermanit 21/10 N solid MIG/MAG wire is used for

Thermanit 21/10 N is a high-alloyed austenitic stainless solid wire. Typical work covers tanks, process plant, food and chemical equipment and structures in contact with water and steam.

The wire runs under shielding gas, fed continuously from a semiautomatic torch, and the deposit has an austenitic structure.

Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the face. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones the fill passes.
