Thermanit 22/09 is a high-alloyed duplex solid wire. It is used in the chemical, pulp and paper and marine industries, on parts loaded both mechanically and by corrosion.
Parent materials are 1.4462, 1.4362, 1.4162, UNS S32205 and 2205. The wire also goes on offshore structures, where the joint works in a marine environment.

Protect the root and keep the gas coverage complete, oxidised zones in duplex are where pitting corrosion starts. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback.
