Thermanit 25/22 H is a high alloyed austenitic stainless TIG rod. Typical work covers tanks, process installations, food and chemical industry equipment and structures in contact with water and steam.
Base materials include 1.4335, X1CrNi25-21, 1.4435, 1.4465, 1.4466, 1.4577 and UNS S31050. The rod also suits cladding runs on steel, and its deposit has an austenitic structure that resists corrosion.

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than you need to, austenite expands strongly and pulls the structure out of shape. Keep the rod inside the gas shield even after you lift it from the pool, a cold oxidised end will contaminate the next drop.
