Thermanit H-347 Si is a high alloyed austenitic stainless TIG rod. Typical work covers tanks, process installations, food and chemical industry equipment and structures in contact with water and steam.
The rod joins grades such as 1.4301, X5CrNi18-10, 1.4306, X2CrNi19-11, 1.4311, 1.4312 and 1.4541, along with related materials. It also serves for cladding carbon steel surfaces, and its deposit has an austenitic structure that resists corrosion.

Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the bead face. Keep the rod inside the gas shield even after you lift it from the pool, a cold oxidised end will contaminate the next drop. Set the gas post-flow long enough for the pool and the electrode to cool under the shield.
