Thermanit JE-308L is a high alloyed austenitic stainless TIG rod. Typical work covers tanks, process installations, food and chemical industry equipment and structures in contact with water and steam.
The rod joins grades such as 1.4301, X5CrNi18-10, 1.4306, X2CrNi19-11, 1.4307, X2CrNi18-9 and 1.4311, along with related materials. It also suits cladding runs on steel, and its deposit has an austenitic structure that resists corrosion.

Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the bead face. Protect the root when you weld from one side, an oxidised underside spoils the corrosion resistance.
