Thermanit MTS 4 Si is a low-alloyed, creep resistant solid wire. It suits welding CrMo steels on boilers, steam lines, refinery plant and parts working at elevated temperature.
It is used on grades such as 1.4922, 1.4935, 1.4923, 1.4926, 1.4913 and 1.4931. The deposit stands up to creep at elevated temperature, and the wire goes into boiler, pressure vessel and petrochemical plant construction.

Do not break off welding and do not let the joint cool below the interpass temperature before the fill is finished. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion.
