Union I CrMo 910 is a solid MIG/MAG electrode wire for welding creep-resistant CrMo steels. It is used in boiler, pressure vessel and petrochemical plant construction.
Typical parent materials are 1.7380, 10CrMo9-10, ASTM A335, 1.7379 and G17CrMo9-10. The wire does well on pipe welding, fill passes included, on boilers under technical inspection and on steam lines and refinery plant.
- Classification EN ISO: G CrMo2Si
- AWS classification: ER90S-G
- Diameters: 1.0 / 1.2 mm
Do not break off welding and do not let the joint cool below the interpass temperature before the fill is finished. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Match the diameter to the thickness and the position, thinner wires are easier to control in constrained positions.
