Union I MoMn is a low-alloy, high strength TIG rod. It goes into mobile equipment, machine frames, cranes and weight saving components.
Typical base materials are P235GH, P460M and S460MC. The rod handles pipeline welding including fill passes, it is used on boilers and pressure vessels under statutory inspection, and it suits welds that need a smooth face.

Do not exceed the permitted interpass temperature, an overheated heat affected zone loses its toughness. Grind the tungsten tip along its axis and hold a short arc, otherwise the pool spreads. Protect the root when you weld from one side, an oxidised underside spoils the corrosion resistance.
