UTP A 776 is a solid wire in a nickel alloy of the NiCrMo-4 type, for corrosion resistant NiCrMo alloys of the C276 group. It is used on chemical process equipment, high temperature installations and mixed joints between nickel alloys and steels.
The wire suits grades such as NiMo16Cr15W and UNS N10276. It handles manual and mechanised work, runs under shielding gas fed from the feeder, and covers boiler parts, furnaces and heat exchangers exposed to aggressive media.

Move the pool more slowly than on steel, nickel alloys are sluggish and will not flow to the groove edges on their own. Set the gas flow so the pool stays covered along the whole bead, and screen the workstation when you weld outdoors. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets wire feeding and leads to burnback.
