WEARmig Tool 60 is a solid wire for the production and repair of tools made of molybdenum alloyed high-speed steels, with a high weld metal hardness of 60 to 64 HRC.
The wire suits hand work with a semiautomatic torch and mechanised stations, fed continuously under shielding gas. It rebuilds shafts, rollers, screws, blades and surfaces working under abrasion.
- Classification EN ISO: 14700 S Z Fe4
- AWS classification: S Z Fe4
- Shielding gas: M12, M13, M21, C1
Remove the fatigued and hardened top layer before hardfacing, an overlay laid on worn material chips off. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Lay the overlay in overlapping beads and watch the temperature of the part, an overheated piece will distort and crack at the layer boundary. Previously sold as UTP A 696.
