3Dprint AM 15-5 PH is a martensitic stainless solid wire for WAAM additive manufacturing.
The wire runs under shielding gas, fed continuously from a semiautomatic torch, and the deposit has a martensitic structure. It is used in tank building, process piping and equipment for the chemical and food industries.

After welding remove the heat tint by pickling or brushing, the oxide layer alone lowers the corrosion resistance of the joint. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the face.
