3Dprint AM 2207 is a solid MIG/MAG wire. It suits welding duplex and superduplex steels, on tanks, pipelines and chemical or marine structures that need strength and corrosion resistance at the same time.
The wire runs under shielding gas, fed continuously from a semiautomatic torch, and it also serves in WAAM additive manufacturing. Typical work is the chemical, pulp and paper and marine industries, on parts loaded both mechanically and by corrosion.
- AWS classification: ER2207 - 1.4501
Do not quench the joint with water and do not force the cooling, too fast a cooling rate leaves too much ferrite in the weld. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion.
