3Dprint AM 2209 is a high-alloyed duplex stainless solid wire for WAAM additive manufacturing.
It is fed continuously from the feeder and welded under shielding gas, and it also serves in WAAM additive manufacturing. The wire goes on tanks, pipelines and chemical or marine structures that need strength and corrosion resistance at the same time.

Protect the root and keep the gas coverage complete, oxidised zones in duplex are where pitting corrosion starts. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones the fill passes.
