3Dprint AM 70 is a low-alloyed, high-strength solid wire for WAAM additive manufacturing. It also welds quenched and tempered high-strength steels in machine building, crane structures and commercial vehicles.
The wire runs under shielding gas, fed continuously from a semiautomatic torch, and it also serves in WAAM additive manufacturing.

Keep the hydrogen level low: dry consumables, a clean groove and preheating on greater thicknesses. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Keep the heat input inside the range given by the steel maker, going beyond it lowers the strength of the joint.
