3Dprint AM 80 HD is a low-alloyed, high-strength solid wire for WAAM additive manufacturing. It also welds quenched and tempered high-strength steels on working machines, booms, cranes and structures that need a high yield strength.
The wire is fed continuously from the feeder and welded under shielding gas, and it also serves in WAAM additive manufacturing. It goes into machine building, crane structures and commercial vehicles.
- AWS classification: S800 - 10NiMnMoCr8-7-6
- Diameters: 1.0 / 1.2 mm
Keep the heat input inside the range given by the steel maker, going beyond it lowers the strength of the joint. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones the fill passes.
