3Dprint AM 90 is a low-alloyed, high-strength solid wire for WAAM additive manufacturing. It also welds quenched and tempered high-strength steels on working machines, booms, cranes and structures that need a high yield strength.
The wire runs under shielding gas, fed continuously from a semiautomatic torch, and it also serves in WAAM additive manufacturing. It works on mobile structures, machine frames, cranes and parts built for a lower own weight.
- AWS classification: S890 - 10MnNiMoCrSi7-9-6
Do not exceed the permitted interpass temperature, an overheated heat affected zone loses its toughness. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Keep the hydrogen level low: dry consumables, a clean groove and preheating on greater thicknesses.
