3Dprint AM Cu6328 is a copper alloy solid wire for WAAM additive manufacturing. It also welds and braze welds copper and bronzes on fittings, heat exchangers, bearing shells and slides.
The wire runs under shielding gas, fed continuously from a semiautomatic torch, and it also serves in WAAM additive manufacturing. It works on water systems, machine parts, plain bearings and hardfacing of bronze surfaces.
- AWS classification: CuAl9Ni5 - C63280 - Cu6328 - 2.0923
- Diameters: 1.2 / 5.7 mm
Do not overheat the pool and work fast, tin bronzes lose alloying elements by evaporation. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Match the diameter to the thickness and the position, thinner wires are easier to control in constrained positions.
