3Dprint AM Tool 45 is a low-alloyed, wear resistant solid wire for WAAM additive manufacturing.
The wire runs under shielding gas, fed continuously from the feeder, and it goes into maintenance work, rebuilding dimensions and strengthening surfaces exposed to wear, on shafts, rollers, screws and blades.

Remove the fatigued and hardened top layer before hardfacing, an overlay laid on worn material chips off. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Match the diameter to the thickness and the position, thinner wires are easier to control in constrained positions.
