3DPRINT AM TS 12 is a solid MIG/MAG wire for welding creep-resistant CrMo steels. It is used in boiler, pressure vessel and petrochemical plant construction.
The wire runs under shielding gas, fed continuously from a semiautomatic torch, and it also serves in WAAM additive manufacturing. It works in power generation, on superheaters, headers and pressure piping in chromium molybdenum steel.
- AWS classification: CrMoWV12 - CrMoV12-1
Plan the preheating and the post weld heat treatment to the WPS for the grade in hand, CrMo steels harden in the heat affected zone. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Store the material in a dry, heated store and do not leave damaged packs open.
