BÖHLER DMV 83-IG is a low-alloyed, creep resistant solid wire. It suits welding CrMo steels in power generation, on superheaters, headers and pressure piping in chromium molybdenum steel.
The parent material is 1.7715. The wire goes on boilers and pressure vessels under technical inspection, on steam lines and refinery plant, and the deposit stands up to creep at elevated temperature.
- Classification EN ISO: 21952-A G MoVSi
- AWS classification: A5.28 / SFA-5.28 ER80S-G
- Shielding gas: M21, C1
- Approvals: TÜV (01322),CE
Do not break off welding and do not let the joint cool below the interpass temperature before the fill is finished. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion.
