BÖHLER CN 22/9 N-IG is a TIG rod for welding duplex and superduplex stainless steels. It goes into tanks, pipelines and chemical or marine structures that need strength and corrosion resistance at the same time.
The rod joins grades such as 1.4462, 1.4362, 1.4583, P235GH, P265GH, S255N and S355N, along with related materials. It suits root runs, thin walls and welds that need a smooth face.

Shield the root and keep the gas cover complete, oxidised zones in duplex are where pitting corrosion starts. Set the gas post-flow long enough for the pool and the electrode to cool under the shield. Grind the tungsten tip along its axis and hold a short arc, otherwise the pool spreads. Match the diameter to the plate thickness and the welding position, thinner rods are easier to control out of position.
