BÖHLER EMK 6-Ultra is a solid MIG/MAG wire for mild and low-alloy steels, fine-grained grades included. It is used in structural steelwork, on tanks, piping and series production.
It joins grades such as S235JR, S355JR, S235J0, S355J0, S235J2, S355J2 and S275N together with their equivalents, and the wire runs well on robot and mechanised stations.

On thicker parts and in a cold workshop plan preheating to cut the risk of cold cracking. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones the fill passes.
