BÖHLER EMK 7-Ultra is a solid MIG/MAG electrode wire for mild and low-alloy steels, fine-grained grades included. It is used on steel structures, tanks, machine frames and workshop work on black steel.
Among the parent materials it covers S235JR, S355JR, S235J0, S355J0, S235J2, S355J2 and S275N, and the wire runs well on robot and mechanised stations.

Clean rust, paint and grease out of the groove, contaminated plate gives porosity even with well set parameters. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Match the diameter to the thickness and the position, thinner wires are easier to control in constrained positions.
