BÖHLER FOX EV 60 PIPE is a basic coated electrode with a nickel bearing deposit, of the E8016-G H4 type. The manufacturer intended it for positional welding of filler and cover passes on pipes and plate. The electrodes are packed in hermetically sealed tins, which makes keeping the coating dry on site easier.
The base steels cover L210NB to L450NB, L210MB to L450MB, P235GH to P295GH, S380N to S460N, P380NH to P460NH and S380NL to S460NL. The impact energy of the deposit holds down to -40 degrees C and the diffusible hydrogen does not exceed 4 ml per 100 g. Nickel in the deposit is what keeps the toughness at lower temperatures.

Open the tin only at the workstation and close it after taking electrodes out, because the benefit of hermetic packaging disappears after an hour in damp air. In the overhead position reduce the current and lay narrow beads, so that the pool does not sag. Weld the root with a consumable meant for it and use this electrode to fill the groove and cap it. On steels from the upper part of the range, S460N and P460NH, set a preheat according to the thickness of the part.
