BÖHLER FOX SUM is an electrode with a thick rutile coating, of the E6013 type, easy to weld in all positions except vertical-down. The manufacturer directs it to general work on unalloyed steels, where a calm arc is what counts.
Suitable for welding are S235JR to S355JR, S235JO to S355JO, P195TR1 to P265TR1, P195GH to P265GH and the pipe grades L245NB to L360NB and L245MB to L360MB. The arc is soft, the bead smooth and the spatter slight. The slag comes off without trouble, so there is little cleaning left after welding. The weld surface has a fine, clean ripple.

- Lengths: 350 and 450 mm
- Approvals: CE
A thick coating forms a deeper crater at the tip of the electrode, so hold it close to the material and do not tear it away sharply at the end of a bead. Vertical-up, run a ladder pattern with a short pause at the groove faces. On DC connect the holder to the negative pole, and set the alternating current from the table of the manufacturer. For tacking and quick repairs this electrode suits better than a basic one, because it needs no drying before work.
