BÖHLER FOX EV 70 Mo is a basic coated electrode with a MnMo deposit, intended for high strength fine grained structural steels and for steels working at elevated temperature, for example 15NiCuMoNb5S. The deposit is crack resistant and resistant to ageing.
The base materials are S460Q to S555Q, the pipe grades L415MB to L555MB and L415QB to L555QB, and S460N, S460M and P460N. The weldability is very good in every position except vertical-down. The hydrogen class is H10, and production covers a single diameter of 3.2 mm and a length of 350 mm. The electrode carries TÜV and German railways DB approvals.

A single diameter means you cannot set the parameters by changing electrode, only by current and travel speed, so work them out on a coupon before the first weld. Steels for elevated temperature service usually need stress relieving after welding, so check that in the data sheet of the base material. Dry the electrodes to the instructions, class H10 requires it too. Run the beads straight, without wide weaving.
