BÖHLER FOX NiMo is a basic coated electrode with a MnNiMo deposit, of the E10018-D2 H4 type. The manufacturer directs it to creep resistant steels and cast steel grades, to valves and to tools for the oil industry that meet sour gas requirements.
The base materials are 30CrMoV6-4 and the grade AISI 413. The diffusible hydrogen stays below 5 ml per 100 g of weld metal, the crack resistance is very high and the toughness holds down to -40 degrees C. The post weld heat treatment, that is stress relieving, is carried out according to the base material.
- Classification EN ISO 18275-A: E 62 4 Mn1NiMo B 4 2 H5
- AWS classification A5.5 / SFA-5.5: E10018-D2 H4
- Coating: basic
- Current: DC+
- Diameters: 2.5 / 3.2 / 4.0 / 5.0 mm
- Lengths: 350 and 450 mm
Before you start, check the stress relieving temperature in the data sheet of the base material, because the parameters and the layer sequence depend on it. Preheat valves and heavy section parts and hold the temperature through the whole welding operation. Sour gas requirements usually add a limit on weld hardness, so agree it with the client. Bake the electrodes before work and do not leave them at a damp workstation.
