BÖHLER FOX EV 75 is a basic coated electrode with a MnNiCrMo deposit, of the E10018-G H4R type, with high ductility and crack resistance. The manufacturer intended it for quenched and tempered high strength fine grained steels working from -60 degrees C to plus 400 degrees C.
The base grades are S500Q to S620Q, S500QL to S620QL, S500QL1 to S620QL1, the pipe grades L485MB to L555MB and L485QB to L555QB, and materials to API 5L. The metal recovery reaches about 120 percent. Apart from vertical-down you work with it in any position. With a moisture resistant coating the diffusible hydrogen does not exceed 4 ml per 100 g of weld metal.

Quenched and tempered steel loses its properties under excess heat, so treat the upper heat input limit as a hard limit and not as a hint. Measure the preheat and the interpass temperature with a pyrometer or a temperature crayon, not by hand. A recovery of 120 percent fills the groove quickly, so keep an eye on the thickness of every layer. Bake the electrodes before the shift and do not leave open packs out overnight.
