BÖHLER SKWAM-IG is a solid MIG/MAG welding wire. It suits welding stainless and acid-resistant steels and is used on process plant, heat exchangers, sanitary structures and parts exposed to corrosion.
The wire suits hand work with a semiautomatic torch and mechanised stations, fed continuously under shielding gas, in tank building, process piping and equipment for the chemical and food industries.

Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the face. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones the fill passes.
