What diamondspark NiCu1 BC flux-cored wire is used for

diamondspark NiCu1 BC is a seamless, weather resistant flux-cored wire of the basic type, alloyed with copper and nickel.

It is used on grades such as S235JRW and ASTM A 588. The seamless sheath keeps moisture away from the core even after longer storage, and the wire goes into structural steelwork, on tanks, piping and series production.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17632-A T 46 6 Z B M21 3 H5
  • AWS classification: A5.29 / SFA-5.29 E80T5-WGM H4
  • Shielding gas: M21
  • Diameters: 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 mm

Clean rust, paint and grease out of the groove, contaminated plate gives porosity even with well set parameters. Hold a short arc, a long one breaks the shielding and raises the hydrogen content in the weld. Take care of degassing and a clean groove, basic slag will not forgive oily edges. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones the fill passes.
