Application

What diamondspark X60 RC-Pipe flux-cored wire is used for

diamondspark X60 RC-Pipe is a seamless flux-cored wire of the rutile type for automatic pipeline welding. It covers mild and low-alloy steels, fine-grained grades included, in structural steelwork, on tanks, piping and series production.

It joins materials such as API 5L. The seamless sheath keeps moisture away from the core even after longer storage, all welding positions are open to it, and the wire is meant for mechanised pipeline work.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17632-A T 50 6 1Ni P M21 1 H5
  • AWS classification: A5.29 / SFA-5.29 E81T1-Ni1M-JH4
  • Shielding gas: M21
  • Diameters: 1.2 mm
  • Approvals: TÜV (19491), CE

Clean rust, paint and grease out of the groove, contaminated plate gives porosity even with well set parameters. Do not shorten the stick-out too far, a flux-cored wire needs resistive preheating so the core melts in time. Hold the torch tilted slightly backwards so the slag flows behind the pool, not ahead of it.
