ECOspark 4-NC is a solid wire for mild steel, supplied without a copper coating. It is used on steel structures, tanks, machine frames and workshop work on black steel.
It joins grades such as S235JR, S355JR, S235JO, S355JO, S235J2, S355J2 and S275N together with their equivalents. Leaving out the copper coating limits liner fouling and copper in the fumes.

On thicker parts and in a cold workshop plan preheating to cut the risk of cold cracking. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind.
